I am a Dismantler in Utah. I originally purchased this vehicle for the purpose of dismantling it. However, I had a 'Cruiser FJ40 of my own in the past and I am having a hard time dismantling it and parting it out when it has such a good restoration potential. It is a 1979 model which, for Landcruiser owners and/or searchers, you know that this is the first production year that included the final modifications/upgrades before the FJ40's went out of production. This fact makes this particular model a rare find and much sought after for restorations because it tends to be the most valuable once fully restored. As you can tell, this FJ40 has some significant rust issues. I am hiding nothing and I tell you upfront that it will require some long man hours to restore this vehicle to show condition. However, it does run and drive, the 4WD is operates cleanly, it has passed a recent inspection and with some minor maintenance it would be road worthy. It was previously owned by a Health Care Professional which leads me to believe that it has seen very little dirt road and there is an extensive log of maintenance history. It includes some rare-intact find items that are still functional and very valuable such as; the rear jump seats, a complete tire change kit, original owner's manual, floor mounted parking brake and original seats with moderate but restorable wear. I am going to try and sell this vehicle now and then if I can't I will probably part it out and sell it item by item which would be an absolute sin....
