First of all, thank you for viewing my auction. After viewing all the ratty other 5.0's out there and looking at this car, feel free to message me. Please take the time to allow the 100+ detailed photos to load, it is worth the wait. I am listing this 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible for a customer and friend who is the original owner. You will be the second owner. I own a Mustang shop that has been in business for 17 years and am very particular with these cars and just finished a $7K restification of the whole car from top to bottom. I have known this car and maintained it since 1995 for her and her family who bought the car new. They are a multiple Mustang family. She stopped driving this car at 85 years old. It was her nice day car, so she had another car for a daily driver. Her first mustang was a Candyapple Red 65 GT K code convertible with a 4 speed and pony interior which she drove until 1971 when she traded it for a 71 Mustang convertible in red with black interior and a M code 351C with a 4 speed which she put 240K miles on and traded it for a Jalepeno Red 85 Mustang SVO, until 1991 when she traded it for this. She always loved her Mustangs!! Only adult driven since new. Has always been impeccably taken care of and garaged. Fully loaded and show quality from top to bottom. 90% original paint... only hood, front bumper, and sides below moldings have been professionally re-painted and an exact match. No dings or dents and still has the original pinstripe. Oil has been changed every 3K miles or 6 months with the Mobil 1 10W 30 synthetic. First oil change was done at 500 miles with Ford non-synthetic, and the second done at 2500 miles with Ford non-synthetic. All oil changes since have been Mobil 1 synthetic. Underside, and inside of wheels detailed at least once a month as is the exterior and interior. Carpets have never been shampooed and still look like new. Car is also waxed at least once a month and always garaged, except when at events, but covered when possible. This car is impeccable for the price. No accidents, and no modifications. Engine is untouched, except for maintenance. Top is brand new as is many other components. Anything that did not work properly has always been rebuilt or replaced. Many obsolete NOS parts used. 4 speed AOD automatic overdrive transmission was fully professionally rebuilt at 118K. Car looks, runs, handles and shifts like a 10K mile car!!! Never wrecked or bumped. Always adult driven and respected, Ashtray door, console door, map pockets, floor mats etc are all perfect and still function as intended. Ice cold A/C. Car does not overheat even in 120 degree weather. I let the car idle for 45 minutes in 120 degree heat this summer and it did not get 1/2 way on the temperature gauge. I then drove it to make sure there were no issues, or pinging...no problems. Car is meant to be driven and enjoyed. Looks like a 10K mile car. Car has always been garaged and most of the miles came from driving it on nice days a couple times per week and to several national Mustang shows through-out the years with her family. Been caught in the rain 5X it's whole life, and detailed right after as soon as possible. Never raced or abused. 1 of 1983 5.0 Mustangs built in this color in 1991, of those only 312 had a white top with red interior, of those only 16 had leather sports seats, of those, only 14 had power equipment group, of those only 7 were automatics, and how many of those 7 had factory chrome pony wheels are in this condition still?? This is probably the ONLY one!! You are better off getting one of these cars that have been driven and properly maintained than one with super low miles that has not been properly stored or has dried up seals. Nothing leaks or seaps on this car and it burns no oil. Compression is with in 2% on every cylinder. Gets 25+ MPG on the freeway!! .Tires have less than 50 miles and are smooth, factory size 16", original chrome ponies and caps in nice shape, brakes front and rear are new, including rotors and pads all around Never been smoked in, no stains, still smells new. Ashtray and cigarette lighter never used. Original premium sound system with amplifier and cassette that works great with no farting speakers. All vents have their original, white silk screening that is unfaded, or marred!! Car is VERY clean top to bottom, original top boot still in plastic in trunk, never opened or used!! Steering wheel is like new, leather has no wear or marks. Original spare tire, jack, tire iron, and holdown hardware all intact. All power options work perfect including power top and cruise control. All signals and lights work perfect. This car looks and drives like a 10K mile car, It is that nice. Even a 10K mile car will not look, run and drive like this one. 90% original paint and original pinstripe. Hood, front bumper and paint below side mouldings were stripped, primed 3X and block sanded to perfection, and repainted with 4 coats of base and 4 coats of clear, by my painter that does $100K+ restorations, then the rest of the factory paint was buffed panel by panel. It all matches perfect, and you can not tell anything has been painted. No road rash. Over $2K spent just on painting materials. No expense spared. You will not find a nicer paint job on a Fox body!! No mask lines, overspray, fish eyes, dirt, runs, orange peel, etc. All trim was refinished professionally by my Mustang shop in the past 3 months....all front and rear window moldings, side moldings, door handles, side mirrors, cowl grill, antennae mast/base, upper door trims, luggage rack, and quarter windows. I have owned over 100 Cobras, Cobra R's, Saleen's and other Fox bodies and am VERY familiar with these cars!! I know what to look at and what they are and were from new. Every correct clip, nut, bolt, rivet, plug, sticker, rubber bumpers, etc is correct on this car!! Car is available for inspection and can be driven or shipped anywhere. Please email me with phone # and I will call you with any info you're requesting. Car is tight with no rattles, leaks, etc.! The underside is as clean as the the rest of the car. The pictures speak for themselves. This is a beautiful car and PERFECTLY balanced as far as looks, safety, economy, handling, braking, comfort, reliability, sound, and performance!! It is like stepping back to a Ford showroom in 1991!! You can drive this car anywhere with no issues. This is the most balanced car you will ever drive. You will not find a nicer one for the money that is all stock. These cars are very hard to find. No front license plate bracket like the others listed ( I have one if you need one), and this car is a CA car, not a car stored in humid salty air like the others out there either that do not have any underside photos. This is why I took as many pictures as I did, including the underside, so you can see how well preserved this car is. All the original underside overspray,markings, drips, stickers, etc are there!!! Even original exhaust is all there!! Car also has new brakes, shocks and struts, alignment, distributor cap, spark plugs, belt, fuel and air filters, fluids, fan and fan clutch, OEM thick pile correct floor mats, rebuilt window motors, all new NOS Ford window and lock switches and bezels, etc. Top is brand new Robbins 6 layer in correct Oxford white. Seats were redone. Has OEM original date coded 1991 spark plug wires. Windshield is a new OEM Carlite as is the weatherstrip. Steering rack, alternator, water pump, A/C compressor, and power steering pump have been rebuilt. Battery is new. Injectors were removed, rebuilt and flowed with in 1% tolerance of each other. A/C system is converted to R134 and blows ice cold. Heater core is new and heat is hot. New sway bar bushings. All suspension is tight and car tracks down the road like new. Car has been impeccably maintained and all services have been done before needed. Nothing overlooked. Any questions, please message me and I will respond promptly. Duffy's has a 91 GT convertible here on ebay that keeps getting bid up to $8K+ that has 214K+ miles, discolored various interior parts, terrible looking trim, mismatched colors between bumpers and fenders, ratty looking convertible top, the wrong wheels (they are 87-90 GT 15" wheels, not the correct 16" pony wheels like this car), a spray can painted underside, and Pep Boys exhaust tailpipes!!!
