Vehicle Detail

Hello I am selling my 1991 Civic Wagon that I have owned since July 2007. The car is in incredibly good shape for its age. I have replaced many parts and have receipts in hand. The timing belt, water pump, head gasket, head bolts and valve stem seals were replaced at 90,500 miles. Other replaced parts include: new radiator, new brakes using brembo rotors in front, new drum brakes in rear, new honda oem stock muffler, new honda oem stock motor mounts, new honda oem ignition coils, new oem main relay, new spark plugs + oem wires and distributor cap. New honda oem clutch, pressure plate and flywheel bearing (flywheel did not need resurfacing). New oem front and rear main oil seals. The air conditioning has been recently serviced and blows cold. Includes a new evaporator, new expansion valve, new condenser, new drier, new orings, 134a conversion fittings, rebuilt Sanden TR70 compressor, rebuilt ac suction and discharge lines using barrier hoses (134a compatible hoses), all lines cleaned and 134a freon with oil added. Pros: Mostly new Honda OEM parts, very reliable, fuel efficient, great cargo utility, great in snow with snow tires, clear view all around car from inside while driving, fun to drive, very light weight car, leaves no oil drips on driveway. Very clean interior, non-smoker. Easily passed NJ emissions - good until 8/2013. Regular motor oil changes and a fresh transmission oil change. They don't build them like this anymore, long life left on this civic. Cons: paint is heavily fading on roof and hood, small exhaust leak, small hole in drivers seat, interior rattles here and there while driving it, recently the front end starts to shake when driving over 80mph I keep at 70mph with no issues- I suspect wheel balance is out of spec., Has manual steering. wheels are a little rusty. If you've been waiting for a wagon, don't let this one pass you up! The car is still being used daily so the actual mileage will differ from that posted. This car is being sold as is. On Dec-12-11 at 10:22:59 PST, seller added the following information: I'm including in the auction the rare set of rear speaker pods in mint shape. As shown in the added photo: includes all brackets, hardware, connecting wires and installation instructions. Also included is the center console in great shape as well. Both are blue in color and I never got around to finding a gray paint color that would perfectly match the gray interior which explains why I didn't install them yet. FYI the rear cargo cover is also the elusive hard to find honda civic wagon cargo cover in great shape. A hard to find combo all civic wagon owners know too well. Thanks for looking. On Dec-15-11 at 20:28:29 PST, seller added the following information: Q: I am VERY interested in your wagon and I'm also a meticulous person, my main concern for finding the perfect wagon(and I've been looking for a while) is rust. Is there any body rust of any kind on the vehicle, from the way the pictures look there appears to be none of the infamous rusting of the rear quarters. And if I were to win the auction could you meet be at the nearest airport, I live in NC and was thinking of flying to do the pickup. Thanks,Dec-15-11A: hello, the undercarriage is rust free however there was a small amount forming on the drivers side rear upper dead center panel..barely 2 inches in length by 1/4" thick. I'm aware that if you see rust it surely is the tip of the iceberg but for this car it was not the case..by sheer luck the rust began at the lowest and thinnest part of the panel which allowed me to easily address it from the front and back side. I cleaned it up and brushed on Por-15 rust inhibitor on the outside as well as from the inside of the car behind that quarter panel 4 years ago. since then it has not changed in anyway. it's such a thin line the rear quarter molding covers it up perfectly. many swear by por-15 and that it's the best product that works on the market. many restoration shops use it on classic car rusty frames. if you have the time you can research it and form your own opinion. so far I believe it does exactly as it says it does. Despite this, this car still has very minimal amounts of rust especially for a car from the north east! take that into consideration as well as the car not being abused as so many are and you still have yourself a pretty rare find. If you are still interested please forward me your email so I can send you many pictures of that area and underneath the car as well. my pics on ebay are maxed out and ebay does not allow me to delete so I can add more... once there are bids everything freezes the way it was listed. if anyone reading this is also interested in these pictures please contact me and I will forward them to you as well. Don't be fooled, this car has many rust free years ahead of it otherwise I wouldn't have spent so much time and money on it. and yes I can pick you up from the airport. thanks for looking.Q: ok, so why are you selling it? I love these cars and other than not being the AWD model, yours does look VERY nice. thanks boatDec-14-11A: hello, yes I agree, I felt super lucky when I found this 4 years ago just a few miles from where I live. Thrilled that it was well maintained and a 1 owner car. My thoughts were to keep this for many years to come. I invested lots of time and money into it, about $3000 in cost of parts alone. I'm very meticulous and even bought many honda oem nuts, bolts and washers. But as in life circumstances change all of the time and I need to sell. I own 3 cars and need to cut back to just 1. I appreciate all civic wagon owners out there, we are a rare breed. and btw being FWD is a huge plus ;). thanks for looking.Q: How is the gas mileage? Do you have a choice between 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive? How are the tires and what is the engin model in this car please?Dec-14-11A: hello, the gas mileage is low to mid 30's combined. This model is the front wheel drive only, it is not 4 wheel drive. Personally I prefer the front wheel drive version because you don't have the extra weight of the 4 wheel drive counterparts. They can weigh in at an extra 200-300 pounds heavier hurting your mpg and it also adds more stress on the motor shortening its life. secondly for a car this old the 4 wheel drive parts are very difficult to find and not to mention the extra cost of maintaining that system plus down time while you try to get it repaired. I've had both front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive cars before and I find that in general front wheel drive cars with proper snow tires can have very good snow/winter traction and be sufficient enough to get you around without the extra costs of having 4wheel drive. The tires are Yokohama Avid Touring all season tires with about 90% tread left, it has a high tread wear count and will last a long time. The engine model is the Honda D15B2 and the head has 16 valves. thanks for looking.Q: I am curious what engine is in this wagon? How many valves? Thank You, -TonyDec-14-11A: hello, it has the Honda D15B2 engine in it and the head has 16 vales. thanks for looking.
