ARIZONA TRUCK 1978 CHEVROLET SILVERADO SHORT BED 4X4 PICK UP Up for auction is my 1978 Chevrolet, ½ ton, short bed, 4X4 This truck is 38 years old in a just a few weeks. The body is in Amazing shape due to spending its life is Arizona. I purchased this truck with the intent of a full restoration. I have to change my plans due to becoming unemployed in our wonderful economy. I have had the truck painted inside and out, the seat has been reupholstered, and the tires have less than 250 miles on them. The truck has 115K original miles, that’s only 3000 miles per year. Pros: 5.7 liter 350 V8 350, 3 speed automatic transmission Silverado package Factory AC, might need a charge Power steering Power Brakes Cloth bench seat tilt steering Cruise control, need on/off switch Enkie wheels with (New) 31X10.50X15 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS Under Bed spare tire mount still intact Chrome front and rear step bumper Dual exhaust It has never had a lift kit installed The underside of the truck is very clean This truck is very original down to the heat tube on the air cleaner. I liked the fact that it had not had major alterations or used off road. The body is very straight I tried to add pics that allowed a down the side view. Cons The truck had a few pieces of stainless trim on the tailgate, they were in rough shape so I removed them with intent of buying new. The interior dash pad and plastics are rough due to the AZ sun, which is the trade off for a good Arizona body. All needed parts can be found on LMC.com, the bed is still in white primer, and there is a minor oil leak. Under the carpet has some surface rust, I was going to use some POR13 on it. While cleaning it up to take pictures I found one bubble in the paint in the driver’s rocker panel area, I added a picture. Please take your time and research any parts which are needed such as emblems, a few stainless pieces, etc… and study the pics before bidding. I am not trying to hide anything.
