Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1969 Ford 2 door Coupe LTD Brougham. Engine is a 390 2 bbl, Automatic Transmission, A/C, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Black Vinyl Roof, Limited Slip Diff., Visibility Group, Split Bench with reclining Passenger seat and Hidden Head Lights. I bought this LTD from a local Estate sale earlier this year. The family stated that the mileage in original, as their Mother was a recluse and did not like to drive. I have no way to verify this as PA is a mileage exempt state for classic cars. During the summer when I had the car parked outside our business a guy stopped by and asked if the car belonged Mrs Strimel and I said she passed on and I bought the car. This gentlemen was the person who maintained the car for the PO for many years earlier. We discussed the car and I asked him if the 17K miles were correct and he said they are mostly likely right as the PO did not like to drive and she never drove further then New jersey in the car. Just trying to provide some history. I had the heads removed and rebuilt and new top end gaskets installed. The machine shop said everything was in tolerance but I wanted it rebuilt anyway. At the same time I powder coated the exhaust and intake manifolds and painted the valve cover and air cleaner. Carburetor was rebuilt and detailed. New air, oil and gas filters replaced. New belts and hoses installed and the car went through a PA safety Inspection and now has a current PA Inspection sticker. The A/C has been modified to accept 134A and is working correctly. The radial tires have plenty of tread and I installed for some good road music - new 2" dual exhaust from the manifolds back. Sounds great but not obnoxious. The interior is in very nice shape and dash is not cracked. Glass is good all around. The carpet could use a replacement as it has some odor. The LTD is a one family owned vehicle as the husband passed away after owning it for 3 years and so it went in the wife's name. I have the following documentation: Original Bill of Sale, Window Sticker, Retail Buyers Order and Title. Even thought the LTD is low mileage it spent a lot of time outside over the years as well as in a garage but it was not important to keep it inside for the PO, so there was some body work back in the day. The lower quarters both sides next to the outer wheel wells were repaired Old School ways and looks good and is contained but to make this car really nice I would do it correctly. There is also some inner rocker rust at the very end as it mates to the outer wheel well that would need repairs as well or you enjoy this beauty and drive it to local shows. The car runs nicely and shifts great and has plenty of power. I would maybe go to four barrel setup for style or even better throw on a tri-power setup on it and become the envy of your buddies. If you hit the Buy it Now I will provide a 3 month/3000 mile limited power train warranty that is good nation wide. I may even throw it in if the bidding is high enough. Shipping is the responsibly of the buyer but I am a car guy and will make sure that your car is loaded properly. International buyer need to contact me before bidding and must have a US ebay account. 500.00 deposit is due within three days after the auction ends and remainder due before pick up. I prefer bank wire transfers but will work with you if you communicate with me. See my other classic car auctions. Good luck bidding you will love the ride and power of this great piece of FORD history.
