1988 R100GS Low miles on a very nice classic airhead that is mechanically excellent, and cosmetically beautiful. The bike has some minor scratches and decal fading; however it is in excellent overall shape for its age. We cannot confirm the mileage, due to a lack of records from a previous owner. The odometer, speedometer and the trip meter all function correctly. We have gone over the bike carefully as described below and all indications point to a 25-30k mile bike or less. We have included a number of pictures in order to show as accurately as possible the exact condition of the bike. All the paint is original except for the front fender, which has been re-painted. There are no dents and the seat is free from tears and holes. The rear seat lock and key are missing however. The tires are Avon Distanzias in very good condition. All of the switches, levers, and lights etc. work as they should. In November 2011. at 14,800 miles a complete service was performed. All the fluids and filters were replaced. New spark plugs and plug caps, new pushrod tube seals, and new battery hold down strap were installed. The carburetors were cleaned and rebuilt with new rebuild kits, O rings, and diaphrams. At the same time we also installed a new AGM battery. Brake pads and rotor are in like new condition. The saddlebags are useable, and functional. They are from a different source and are not in as good a shape as the rest of the bike. However they do work and fit. There are no saddle bag keys. There are no mechanical issues and the bike runs and handles like it is supposed to and has no leaks. The gas tank is clean and rust free. All the original BMW parts and emission systems are present.
