1965 THUNDERBIRD CUSTOM 2-DR HARDTOP A Very Solid Survivor in ORIGINAL CONDITION Low 94,000 miles, one owner last 20 years, all mechanical receipts with rebuilt engine & 3-speed AT transmission. A great driver, weekend show & an excellent investment. Ford 390 V8, custom body mod & side décor pipes w/ waste gates, Thunderbird fender skirts, almost new w/w tires on real spoked chrome wire wheels, custom remote power door locks, side-tilt factory steering wheel & center console. This is a very solid car that was being fully restored. This car runs and drives great. I took it into downtown train station and took photos. I have a stack of papers & books & receipts given with car showing the past history, ownerships & actual low mileage. This car has a prior rebuild of engine, transmission, recent custom show paint in factory Ford Metallic Green, newer white wall tires & custom chromed wire wheels, custom fabricated side pipes for show, note the cool headlamp chrome points..... owner had full key remote security and locking system installed (2 remote keys) with all professional installation receipts. Owner had put newer T-Bird higher back style bucket seats into car and was going to have them recovered to match; the original buckets & AM/FM radio are in out of area storage & will only be included once found; car has excellent vintage working AM/FM cassette surround sound stereo system. Car has new master cylinder & all power brakes. One of those rare old cars that was always driven and mechanically well maintained, so all lights and systems appeared to operate when driven, such as corner fender blinker lights, all dash gauges working & lit up, seat belt lights, etc. (I added the night photo showing dash gauges, all lights & progressive speedometer working great) This car has the really cool tilt-away steering wheel to get in and out. (I noted that I must put shift position in neutral to start, automatic emergency brake manually released, old trunk lip rubber was removed during repaint, still in trunk, and a new piece should be installed, ebay cost about $25.00). The vintage full trunk spare tire cover, spare tire and original trunk linings are still intact in the car. Car is sold as-is, normal estate sale conditions with no owner or dealer warranty.
