Vehicle Detail
1976 Ford F-150 Short Box. Very cool truck, purchased about 2 months ago. Was going to slowly restore this truck but I purchased a restored 78 F-150 and I do not need 2 trucks. This truck is in great condition for its age, starts first turn cold or hot and drives like it should. 4 wheel drive works fine, all gauges appear to work (oil pressure gauge added by previous owner, factory oil pressure gauge disconnected). I just installed a brand new Pioneer Tuner/CD/USB player (I got the truck without a radio). The truck does have some surface rust beginning to show under the paint at the bottom of the doors and cab, I tried to show in the photos, also one hole in cab floorboard directly behind driver's seat, not a big deal to patch. I plan to install new mirrors from LMC truck before it is sold, drivers side mirror just got broken while parked in front of my house, the pair of mirrors are $49 bucks each from LMC truck. I can also tell you that the passenger rear brake cylinder is leaking, no big deal but I do not plan to fix that and add the cost to you. Other known issues are:Tailgate needs retainer clip on linkage (3 dollar part), brake light sticks because brake pedal does not come back all the way up (needs adjustment-no cost). LOWERED RESERVE PRICE I have driven this truck regularly since I purchased it and have had no issues at all. I got it from a fellow out of Michigan that claimed he rebuilt this truck in 2004, I have photos of that build if interested. This truck is coming up on 36 years old, please keep that in mind when bidding. Has a 351, was told its a 351W. The front of the truck sits about 22 inches from ground to body, the rear about 26 inches, it's a real nice stance. Tires are 32 x 11.50R15 with plenty of tread, like new. Sprayed in bedliner, was told it is "herculiner". Odometer reads 23959 I'm sure its been rolled over at least once. Please ask questions if you are a serious buyer, I can also send more photos, just drop me a line. I also have a trustworthy shipping company I can recommend to you that I used to bring both my trucks, very reasonably priced. This truck is being sold as is with no warranty or any guarantee, keep in mind its an antique! I will also say that it does not need to be restored, that was just what I planned to do with it because I love the year, it is ready to drive right now and you will get the "thumbs up" from other truck lovers, I get them all the time when driving this truck!! My reserve is LOWER than what I have invested in this nice little truck, not trying to make money on this deal but I am also not pressed to sell it for a huge loss, again, I simply do not need 2 trucks and my 1978 is one sweet ride, but I'll just use this as a truck and hang on to it if it does not sell. I have attempted to provide an accurate description of my truck, I've only owned it for about 2 months now so I am sure there are things that I do not know and details I can not provide. Again, ASK QUESTIONS!!!!!! I require a $500 dollar Pay Pal deposit within 48 hours of auction end and the remaining balance in certified bank funds. I am willing to work with you if you need more than 48 hours, just let me know ahead of time. This truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at ANYTIME.
