Vehicle Detail
Up for bidding today is my 1950 Chevy 3100 project. Now, please don't let project scare you or give a negative picture. The only item that I don't currently have to make the truck driveable is the new brake lines. I purchased a 1/2 ton frame to replace the plain worn out 3/4 ton frame. The truck is disassembled, but in large portions that are easily reassembled. The bed & running boards are still the original length of the 3/4 ton, but are easily shortened to fit. I have run out of time & space to give the old truck the proper redo that it deserves...thats the only reason I'm selling. The body does have its fair share of little dings & dents that come from being 61 years old. Rust is a basic non issue on this truck. The only rust-through is on the very bottom of the passenger cab corner and a spot starting on the passenger kick panel, neither of which would require complete patches to be replaced. Again, it is amazing clean for its age. It does have a clear Nebraska Title that is in my possession. I do have a number of new parts that go along with the truck, such as wiring harness, dual chamber master cylinder & adapter bracket, cab sheetmetal bolt kit, junction blocks, brakes & hardware, resurfaced clutch & good useable clutch & pressure plate, new gauge faces, cab & bed mounting pieces(sorry no bed wood or bed strips), new tune up pieces & engine/trans gaskets, plus other little odds & ends. I have had the truck running but not driving. It runs just like a little sewing maching...smooth as can be. I will say upfront that I will not be shipping internationally & the winning bidder is responsible for pickup & delivery. I will help with loading. A $500 deposit at the end of the auction is required & the title & vehicle will be exchanged for the balance of monies owed at the time of pickup. Please bid with confidence...this is a very nice old truck & deserves your time. Thanks for looking.
