Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false I am now retired and am downsizing. I have decided to sell off my motorcycle collection. Already sold---Triumph Bonneville, Harley Road King, 100th Anniversary Harley V-Rod, Suzuki Titan, Suzuki 650, Ossa Pioneer. Still to go after my Honda CB750 four---Hodaka Dirt Squirt, Honda Hurricane 1000. I bought this Honda in 2007 from the restorer-CLASSICAL HONDA RESTORATIONS in Suwanee, GA and it ran great. It had 21,992 miles on it. I brought it home, rode it around town a few times, and then parked it in my collection with 22,022 miles. I should have prepared it to sit, but I thought I would ride it every so often. I never rode it again, so after sitting for 4 years the battery was dead. I bought a new battery, installed it, and after a few misfires it cranked right up. This is a beautiful bike. The restoration was extensive. Here is what was done four years ago by Classical Honda Restorations, before I bought it: Full frame off restoration of all body and hard metal parts. Everything stripped of all paint, bead blasted, primed with epoxy, repainted with Sikkens acrylic polyurethane enamel color, and clear coat. The engine ran well with only new valve stem seals installed. All new engine cover gaskets. The exhaust-almost mint, no rust or holes in the pipes. One small ding on the bottom of the 3rd pipe. Chrome on the pipes is original and very good. New Front brake pads Complete tune-up, points, plugs, condensers, timing set, cam chain adjusted, carbs dialed in. New Tires, tubes, rim bands New Clutch cable Oil and Filter Float needles and sets in carbs New Fork seals Ignition switch Turn Signals-rear, 12 volt flasher New Battery Gas tank sealed with Wurth, Rust guard black, this is not the dated cream coat junk! Wurth is $60 a quart. NOS handle bar grips Steering bearings cleaned, repacked, front caliper serviced. New 530 roller chain My collection is housed in an air conditioned garage, so the bike is in pretty much the same condition as when I bought it as you can see in the photos. It also includes an original owner's manual and tool kit. The new owner will have to have a basic tune up, grease the cables, and the starter button stuck when I was cranking it, and I had to pull it back out manually, so that would have to be attended to. There are several places where the chrome has some pitting/rust---see the photos. Most can be polished out with chrome cleaner, but around the gauges I don't think so.Also, the right rubber fork boot is cracked and the gold stripe on the right side of the tank has spider cracks under the clear coat. I have the clear title in hand. I will work with shipper of buyer’s arrangement. On Dec-04-11 at 05:59:44 PST, seller added the following information: These early Hondas have become increasingly popular with collectors and are a great place to invest. After the new owner tunes it up and sorts it out, he'll be able to ride and enjoy this CB750 while it appreciate$ in value. A real "win, win" opportunity.
