Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This Pontiac is not perfect but, it runs excellent, is very solid and it’s a regularly driven head turner. The car is an original Tri Power car, the cylinder heads are 5313950 (Xo) heads, intake manifold is a 532422 intake with a 532000 series 389 backed by a 8618803 Super Hydromatic (Strato glide) 4 speed transmission. Differential is a 188 posi. The motor numbers correspond to that of a 420A Tempest engine and the car seems to also have the Strato-Glide transmission as well. The build sheet is non-existent as was commonplace amongst trophy cars.The car has a "C" VIN (Built in Southgate CA.) again corresponding with assembly of the trophy cars It also has the dual vacuum canister's under the driver's side fender which again is only factory equipped on the trophy vehicles. The car is an original blackplate California vehicle so it has not been exposed to any harsh elements. I happily spent 15K on this vehicle before realizing how potentially rare the car is. I will be out of the state this upcoming year for too long to enjoy the vehicle. This will be my last and, only attempt to auction the car off as my circumstances are time sensitive...It is not a bluff and, I am not desperate for money, I just figured that this was a more practical approach than letting the vehicle sit. yes I do have the original air cleaner. Yes this is still a black plate car that has never left southern California.
