IN CASE YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE MILEAGE DISCREPANCY ON THE HISTORY REPORT. WE KNOW THAT THE MILEAGE HAS BEEN CHANGED. THE MILEAGE QUOTED IS THE MILEAGE SINCE THE VERRRRRY EXTENSIVE RESTORATION. NO INTENT TO FOOL ANYONE JUST AN HONEST PICTURE OF A FRAME-OFF RESTORED VEHICLE!! Here's the finest example of Jeepdom out there! This '82 Scrambler is virtually brand new! First off the body and frame were separated and the frame was sandblasted and powdercoated. The original 4.0 inline six cylinder was completely rebuilt, including being bored 60 over, new pistons and rings, bearings, valves and valve springs, lifters and camshaft, all professionally done and resulting in a perfect running engine. The transmission is the original automatic which has been completely rebuilt with a shift kit and also the addition of a lock-up torque converter. That is shifted by a new Hurst floor shifter. Both differentials were rebuilt with a "straight shafts" upgrade kit. The rear is a limited slip. The transfer case was also completely gone through with all new bearings and seals. The braking system was completely rebuilt with new rotors and calipers on the front disc brakes and new drums and shoes and wheel cylinders on the rear as well as a new master cylinder with a new brake booster. The truck has a late model GM locking steering column as well as a new aftermarket AC system that blows ice cold. The original heating system works good too. All new hoses and belts under the hood and an engine turned dashboard which houses an AM-FM-Cassette stereo as well as all new switches and gauges. Even a tachometer was added. A new speedometer head was added and shows only 7600 miles since the restoration was completed. To top it all off, there's an 8000 lb Warn Winch with remote control mounted on the front bumper. The bucket seats just serve to finish off the interior. There's not much more to tell that the pictures won't show, so if you can think of anything that I haven't covered just ask and I'll get right back to you.On Nov-29-11 at 16:06:45 PST, seller added the following information: I'm sorry about the mistake above, this is the original 4.2 liter engine instead of a 4.0.
