You are bidding on a 1932 Stutz DV-32 LeBaron Custom 5-Passenger Sedan. This car is owned by the original owner's daughter. This car has been sitting on blocks in a heated garage since 1939. The engine has been turned over with front hand crank two times a year since then. All chrome was grease-coated and all lines drained when prepared for storage with the outbreak of World War II in 1939. The entire car is in complete and original condition! ONLY TWO OF THIS PARTICULAR CAR ARE KNOWN TO EXIST - this one, and a restored one in California! Seller will include all original maintenance/repair books, literature, and tools that originally came with the car when it was purchased new in 1932. Seller will also include leather-bound "The Splendid Stutz" book (limited copies) with the purchase of this car. Needs restoration. 23,435 miles Aluminum Custom LeBaron Body - all aluminum body with steel fenders - engraved steel Builder's Plate on the body, low by front passenger door; reads "LeBaron Detroit" Aluminum-component Engine - engine is copied from Duesenberg Engine - same power but smaller size and runs more quietly - 8 cylinder, 32 valve engine (4 valves per cylinder) - 156 Horsepower - dual overhead camshaft - Engine Number: DV 33160 - Car Serial Number: DV 601448 6 new tires with new tubes - new and unused 7.5-18 wide whitewall tires - 8-ply rated polyester - fender-mounted tires are still factory wrapped - 145 inch wheel base Worm drive gear arrangement Hydraulic brakes Front grill contains chrome louvres that open and close automatically for heat and ventilation. Wood frame is in perfect condition. The steel fenders and rear apron need painting. Lacquer would probably be best. The remainder of body paint is in tact, needs polishing. With 80 years of dust, car does need washing and polishing. Chrome needs polishing also. There is no known rust on the car. All the original safety glass needs to be replaced due to yellowing. All glass is flat. Interior - wood dashboard in excellent shape - rear silk window shades - flower bud vase holders - mohair upholstery in excellent condition - approx. 4 square yards of mohair carpeting needs replacing (carpeting still available on the market) Covered rear trunk is rawhide with brocade and velvet lining. Trunk cover material and auto top material still available on the market.
