I am selling my 2004 Dodge Neon SXT. I am the original owner and all 86k miles were put on this car by my wife or myself. The car runs great. It does need new tires. The ones on it are shot and go flat after sitting overnight. The car sat for about a year. The brakes are making some noise, probably rust from sitting. There is a small dent in the hood and the driver side rear door. The interior needs a good cleaning and is stained. This car is equipped with about every option offered for it. The stereo is the upgraded system which is the best factory stereo I have ever heard in a car. It has a cassette and a 6 Disc CD Changer. The tranmission cooler on the radiator sprung a leak about a year and a half ago. I had a new radiator along with water pump and timing belt put in. I then drove the car for about 6 months and the transmission stopped working. I did not have the time or money to look at it, so I parked it and drove my truck. I have now dropped the pan and found the transmission filter was completely plugged. I installed a new filter and gasket and replaced the fluid. The car runs great now once again. The Kelly Blue Book for this car in "Good" retail condition is $5,224. The trade in value is $3,474. This reserve for this car is well below both of these. I drove the car another 6 miles today. It drove fine other than a little vibration coming from the bad tires. The transmission shifted fine and did not slip. I punched the gas from a dead stop and got it up to 70 mph. It didn't miss a bit. So, the transmission seems to be fine. You are buying this car as is, so I can not guarantee that there won't be problems down the road. Please understand this. I want to make sure that you are happy with your purchase so I am just being completely honest.
