Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a classic 1994 Saab 900 Automatic Turbo Convertible. It has leather seats and was always garage kept. It was my daily driver in the nice weather until the transmission went last year. It is the dark Scarab Green (slightly metallic) with a tan brown leather interior and tan top. This is the last year they made this classic 900 body style; 1993 was the last year for the non-convertibles. The interior is in excellent condition overall- there are a few loose stitches on the drivers seat and some discoloration on the rear seat. There are two small cracks in the dash. Everything works, including the automatic convertible top, which is in decent condition, the power windows and the heat, heated seats and AC. We also have the original hard boot cover which I've seen sell for between $250- $400 on here at different times, which would be included. The exterior is in good condition as well, there are naturally some scratches and a little dulling of the paint on the trunk, but overall the car really looks great. There is a small indent on one side towards the trunk, and a little puckering near a wheel. The only rust I see on the car is a very small amount right inside one door, which I have photographed. The front tires only have about 300 miles on them, the back tires about 10k. The bushings were replaced 2 years ago, as well the timing belt. One of the fog lights was cracked while coming down off the tow truck and the front plastic on the bumper is a little loose from this as well. We really love this car (her name is Ingrid) and we have been holding on to her since last Summer hoping that we would have the money to get her transmission rebuilt or replaced, but she's an extra car for us at this point and we just can't swing it. We got one quote for approximately $2600 when the transmission went (from the local European repair shop) and have not been able to get anyone else to come look at it for an alternate quote. We're hoping someone's out there who wants to rebuild the transmission and get her road worthy again. She's just been sitting in the garage since last Summer, and we drove her out into the driveway last week, which where she is now. The car is not drivable and will need to be towed, but can be driven up onto the towing bed, as the engine will turn over and the car will move when it's ice cold. Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to come see the car prior to bidding, it was close to inspection time when the transmission went so there very well may be some issues we didn't know about, but it seemed to be driving well. Our best guess as to what happened was that maybe there was a leak somewhere in the transmission, and my husband was out in the middle of nowhere and kept driving it when it started to give him trouble shifting, pulverizing the transmission. There was no sign of any kind of trouble previous to the day it stopped shifting. If you have any questions please ask prior to bidding. We'd prefer payment to be cash at pickup, and we are located right outside Scranton, Pa. Thanks!
