Vehicle Detail
1957 Ford F100 Shortbox Styleside Big Window Project vehicle Frame has Chysler torsionbar IFS, powdercoated incl suspension and rear axle housing, new rear axle shafts to match front bolt pattern. Stainless fuel cell relocated to rear of frame. Painless Wiring, Dolphin gauges with billet aluminum cluster panel. Ididit tilt column, Borgeson U-joints Power steering, power brakes, automatic, 292 Yblock with Holley 4 barrel, high torque starter, Ford 9 inch rear with 3.50 Traction Loc gears Extras include a 1957 Tbird Factory Dual 4 barrel manifold, a set of 2004 Cadillac Coupe Deville leather heated seats, and numerous new parts not yet installed Truck has been a long term project that I have to give up due to health reasons. The truck was completely torn down, frame powdercoated black, cab and doors painted, running gear reinstalled, and most of the wiring completed. The doors are hung but need final adjustment. The bed was reinstalled but has the original paint. The front end was taken back off to hang the doors and is currently in the bed. The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt as was the rear end and all units have zero miles although it has been started just to make sure everything was in working order. The truck starts, drives, and stops but is not road worthy. The rear brake drums were re-drilled to match the new axle shafts but should be replaced. There was too much done to this vehicle to properly list it all but beyond finishing the wiring and final paint it is ready to go. There was some minor damage done to the cab that is shown in the photos. The only rust on the vehicle is the very back bed panels below the tail lights. This has been cut out and fiberglassed but needs finished. I have more money in this truck than I can ever recover and nearly 15 years since I purchased it. If you've ever wanted a '57 you're not going to find a better start to a project than this one. It comes with a clear Texas title and would make a great Christmas present for that special someone. Edit: Photos are older ones that I have on my computer so some things have been completed like installing the radiator, fan belts, drive shaft, etc that don't appear to be complete in the pictures.
