Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1971 Dodge Charger R/T. This is my personal car that I have owned for about 6 years. I bought it to restore because it was a great starting point but I just don't have the resources or time to complete the task. I will try to describe the R/T as best as I can. The engine is a rebuilt and the numbers matching motor. I DON'T know any of the specifics on the rebuild because it was rebuilt before I bought it. The rear end it original too. The transmission is not original an appears to be a replacement . The R/T starts runs shifts and drives great. The rear end has NOT been rebuilt and with 125000 miles it makes a singing noise. The front end was rebuilt before my purchase and I don't know all of the specs. This is an UNRESTORED 40 year old car with 125000 miles. The interior is original to the car with a few panels replaced here and there to keep it looking good. Headliner is nice with a few small holes in the back. Pictures show the overall condition as a nice driver. The cassette recorder is an original option to this car and is quite rare. The R/T also has an am-fm radio that works as do all the other interior items. The body has rust in the rear quarter panels, dog legs, and other areas of the body but the frame rails and floor pans looks good. See pictures for other details. The panel below the rear glass had some rust bubbles and I pulled the original vinyl top back and removed the rust and re-glued the top back down. That is the original top and bright work trim. The front windshield has been replaced and all other glass appears to be Chrysler. The dent in the Left fender was there when i bought it. All of the exterior lights work. I used a rust protection on the rust areas last summer trying to preserve the metal as best as possible for the short term. I know I'm leavening out some details, so please look at pictures. There is also many NOS, reproduction, and original parts that go with the car. There is one set of NOS wheel moldings. There are 4 NOS miss matched wheel moldings, NOS sill plates, a very nice cassette recorder with mic, 2 sets of RT rear light housings. The R/T has had one repaint done many years ago before my ownership and i was a cheapo. The A/C does NOT work but its all there. I have the rear window lower trim piece and the radio antenna is not the original. The A/C unit does not work but its there. Also the horn is not working and not sure why its not. No trades or the selling of any parts from the listing it ALL goes together. I hope this helps out. The rallye wheels are not original as this charger came with wire wheel cover per the broadcast sheet. I will answer any question through EBAY. PAYMENT of $500 to pay pal 72 hours after auction is required. Cashiers check for the balance is due in 7 days. All fund must clear before car is released. Buyer is responsible for all shipping. Good luck in bidding
