Vehicle Detail
Blue 1987 Pontiac Fiero Sport Coupe with dealer-installed Cars & Concepts T-Tops for parts or restoration. Car comes with a replacement 4cylinder engine (original engine has a blown head gasket). This was a long term project, selling because we are moving, and 100% of proceeds from this auction benefit the Alabama Head Injury Foundation in memory of my father. Payment is by Paypal only to allow proper tracking of this donation. This car was last registered in Texas in 1999 and has never been driven on Northern Roads. Starting price set at $200, and there is no reserve. Note that a single piece of t-top glass tends to go for $400, and full kits are over $1000 when they can be found. Seats are from an 87 GT, and exhibit none of the bolster wear common to these cars - I had to hunt long & hard for these. Replacement Battery Tray is included with the car. Cars in Factory Blue are rare, only 10% of all cars in 1987 were blue, fewer still had t-tops installed. Mileage with the 4cylinder & 5 speed was over 35MPG mixed city/highway, always nice these days. This would be an excellent parts car for another t-top owner, a rolling chassis for an engine swap, or a donor for adding t-tops to another Fiero (the same tops were used for Fieros from 1984-1987; 1988 Fiero's used the same glass and frame, but a different type of weather strip). Parts and a very supportive community are available online... odds are if you're reading this, you know about Pennock's Fiero Forum and the FieroStore, note that one of the vendors on the forum makes replacement t-top fiero pillar caps from original components (links available upon request). This Fiero is not running, not currently registered, and must be towed. It is being sold as a parts car with a bill of sale. It has chipped paint on the front bumper and hood, but body is otherwise intact with a straight frame. This car is subject to local sale. Buyer must pickup within 2 weeks of end of auction. Questions welcome, thanks in advance for your interest, and please check out my other auctions!
