Vehicle Detail
A rare find 1968 Ford F-100 Pick-up, Custom, Short Wheel Base, Regular Cab. V-8 360 cu. in engine. The truck was bought brand new by my grandfather in WV. and has been in the family ever since. My father had it for about 20 years. I obtained it from my father in 2008. The engine to the best of my knowledge is the original engine and I don't think it has ever been rebuilt. It runs solid and cranks fairly easy for having a manual choke on it still. It has some minor oil seepage but no major oil leaks known at this time. It gets cranked on a regular basis. It doesn't get driven though. It ripped the rag joint so there for you can't steer it like that. It has some rust, some starting to get bad and I would rather somebody restore or resto-rod it before it get where it's not worth messing with. It has it's wear and tear this was a work truck and a family vehicle. And it being a work truck that shouldn't scare you it wasn't like a construction site truck. Grandfather was a mechanic and he took very good care of it, it was his pride and joy. This would make a great project truck for the right person it is a solid foundation for that. The three speed was moved from the tree to the floor by my grandfather years ago. I will say that you can tell by looking at the inside of the bed he did use it to earn the families living hauling engines, transmissions, generators and such so the inside of the bed is pretty beat up. Also the odometer reads 88,640 not sure if that's 188,640 or 288,649 or what amount and grandfather and grandmother are not around to ask sorry. It does have a clear title and nothing like a salvage or reconstruct. Remember this is a 1968 and is sold as is no warranty included or implied. Also the manuals pictured come with the vehicle those I purchased myself for over a couple hundred dollars. Vehicle is in Estill Springs, Tn. 37330 and may be viewed by appointment only. Buyer is responsible for pick up or transportation. Buyer is responsible for tax, tag, and registration. Seller accepts Pay Pal, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, personal checks may be considered but must clear the bank prior to completion of transaction. Thank you for looking and Good Luck Bidding. More pics upon request sent through e-mail to your e-mail addy when provided. Ok I guess I need to put this on here. First thanks for looking at my auction. Next is people be real I know what I have here. I am not going to give the vehicle away or sell it for like $500.00 or less. I can get that at the scarp metal yard. What I have here is one of the most popular and sought after model trucks for restoration and retro-rods. If it doesn't sell this time I just may take it to the F100 Supernationals in Pigeon Forge so if you are really interested don't let it slip away. Ok lets try this again the Reserve has been lowered it wasn't far from it last time if you saw this vehicle but now it is even closer to where it finished last time.
