I bought this car as a restoration project. I will never get to it, so my loss is your gain. It's a legitimate "ran when parked". On the last day I drove it, there were 2 issues- it needed brakes, and the fuel tank was rusted and leaking. Unfortunately since that time it has deteriorated further. The roof started leaking, which damaged the interior. A dent developed in the rear fender (through the assistance of a horse leaning against it), and a squirrel built a nest in the engine bay. I'm pretty embarrassed. The car has no rot or significant rust, but I am starting to see some small surface rust bleeding through the rockers and lower fenders. It's in primer. I have the bumpers, and they are in very good condition. It's a complete car, which needs some TLC. Oh, and it has an original factory installed electric top! So, it's time for this car to get the owner it deserves. If you are looking for a great 'Vair at a great price, here it is. It's the poor man's 'Vette, which everyone can enjoy! I've got no reserve on the auction- I need to clear it out of my garage! Thanks for your interest in my Corvair! I've been asked if this vehicle is drivable. ABSOLUTELY NOT. It is a project, and needs to be trailered. I wasn't clear about the brakes and fuel tank. It had NO brakes at all, and the fuel tank was leaking BADLY. It has not been started in several years. I have had several offers to trade. I am not open to trades. I need the space, and have too many projects.
