Vehicle Detail

here is a real classic. 1966 Dodge Charger,361 cu.in 2 bbl carb.Automatic transmission. I bought the car with the idea of having it restored. Just finished having a 58 Chevy Impala restored, and when I got the final invoice, I decided that restoring these old cars is not for me. I don't have the ability to do it myself , and when you have to pay for all of it , it really gets expensive. I have only had the car a couple of months, so I don't know a great deal about it. Most of the "little things " don't work. These include the headlights(these cars are famous for having to have the little servo -motor that rotates the hidden headlights replaced), the speedo , and the tach. The AC compressor seems to work ok as does the fan, but it doesn't cool. I'd guess a charge of freon would take care of this. Windows crank up and down OK, seem tight. Doors seem to fit well, and it drives well, no pulling to one side or the other, and no vibration. Back tires seem to track front ones ok , so I feel it is nice and straight, and has probably never been in any kind of serious wreck. Most of the chrome/stainless steel trim seems reasonably straight with few dents. Pretty good shape for a car of this age. There is a hole in the left front 1/4 panel(fender) where the V8 emblem was removed. Tires seem to be in good shape. Headliner and upholstery look good. Engine produces no noticeable smoke , so i'd think it is not an oil burner. Engine pretty peppy, especially when you hit the passing gear, so I'd guess the compression is good , though I have not had it tested .The body seems quite good, no obvious signs of bondo, and the underlying steel seems nice and straight without any obvious wavy lines. After market radio installed below dash. Original radio still in place. The car is running , and if the speedo and headlights were fixed, I feel it'd be an ok driver just as it is. I'll be glad to answer any questions that you mught have, to the best of my ability. Feel free to call me at 803 684 0800 (South Carolina) before 8:30 EST please. NOTE_THERE IS NO RESERVE ON YHIS CAR!!!
