Very tastefully modified GTI built and engineered for perfect mix of power, reliability, and fuel mileage efficiency. Second owner, clean carfax/autocheck (see above). Bought the car in 2002 with 5000 miles on it, it now has 143,000k miles (100 mile daily highway commute).Consistently getting over 30 MPG if I keep out of boost. Silver with black cloth interior Winter package (heated seats and mirrors, mud flaps). AC and heater work great Stock stereo and speakers sound amazing, I have both switchblade keys and a valet key. 40,000 miles on fully rebuilt engine with AEB large port cylinder head from audi A4(new valves, guides, seals, lifters, rings, forged H beam connecting rods, water pump, timing belt and tensioner) and APR 3+ turbo kit. Always let her warm up and cool down, always used Mobil1 0-W40 synthetic oil (religiously changed @ 3k miles- no sludge). Nokian Rally Performance Tires have 60% tread remaining. Optima Red Top Battery -New APR stg 3+ turbo kit with 3 flip-switch programs (stock/91oct/100oct) installed @100K mi.-Fully rebuilt AEB head with large-port passenger side TB intake manifold @100k mi.-Integrated Engineering 19mm H-beam connecting rods.-New main bearings and piston rings @100k mi.-Brand new $1200 Garett GT2860RS dual ball bearing turbo installed last month with new exhaust side gaskets and new military grade fasteners.-Both drive shafts replaced last month.-Bilstein HD shocks/struts installed @130k mi.-New lower control arms/strut bearings @130k mi.-Light-weight fly wheel and VR6 clutch @90k mi.-Big front brakes from 337 Gti/20th AE/ TT225, new pads all around @130k mi.-Eibach sport lowering springs.-Motor/trans mounts replaced last month.-Poly dog-bone mount.-42 draft designs 3 inch exhaust, and quiet muffler.-EGR, catalytic converter, SAI, N249 removed.-16" BBS wheels from Jetta wolfsberg.-Omori boost gauge in new south column pod.-Snow performance water meth kit, but pump is dead (seized).-Coolant temp sensor, radiator hoses/coolant lines, MAF, both O2 sensors, N75, coil packs and coil pack wiring harness, vac lines, timing belt, tensioner and water pump all replaced @100K mi.-Oil change, spark plugs(BKR7E), fuel filter, air filter and coolant (VW red coolant) all replaced last month.-New windshield installed last month. Mechanically this car is really nice, but cosmetically it is not perfect. Most folks would not list much of anything, but.... Full disclosure, here is a list of everything the car needs to be perfect:-The oil pan was repaired 7 years ago... hasn't leaked a drop in since-There is a shallow dent on the rear hatch between the VW logo and the wiper arm (see photo) -Dent and scratch on hood above grill (see pictures).-Bumper rash on front and rear rub strips/bumper covers (see pictures).-Half-dime size dent/chip in paint on passenger rear fender lip (see pictures).-Very small paint chip on door in front of drivers side mirror (see pictures).-One scratch across fuel filler cap from parking too close to a rose bush.-Belly Pan and Passenger front fender liner was removed and or modified for intercooler venting.-Doors lock and un-lock normally, but the dome lights don't come on if door is opened.-Horn does not work.-Center arm rest lid is broken (see pictures).-Shifter boot/center console show 143,000k miles of use.-The light bulb illuminating the 3 HVAC knobs needs to be replaced (see pictures).-Drivers floor mat has a hole worn into it under the gas and brake pedals.-Headliner has a couple very minor scuffs and stains, hardly noticeable.-Airbag light is on due to drivers seatbelt buckle wiring being damaged.-Check engine light is on due to P0601 check-sum error (common to APR tune), no other codes/errors.-No emissions gear (CAT, EGR, or SAI), as it sits it wont pass California state smog test.Car is registered where used since purchased in sunny rust - free New Mexico until recent move to San Francisco.
