1991 VW Syncro Vanagon Westfalia Conversion. Let me start by saying this a very unique Syncro. It has been a one owner until a year ago. I still have the original window sticker and purchase agreement. The engine in it is the Ticco conversion. This conversion cost over 8000 dollars 52,000 miles ago. This was done at about 15,000 and now the Westy has 202,000. All parts are still availabe for this engine through FAS. The conversion was expensive and increased the HP by about 30Hp. 100 miles ago I had the engine completely resealed, new water pump and timing belt, plugs, filters and anything else it needed in the tuneup. I did this as part of routine work. It easily goes over mountains and passes unlike the stock engine. My goal was to turn this as a vanagon syncro into a westfalia Syncro. I paid a company 6000 dollars to convert the top for me. This was done the best way possible. A hole was not cut out or metal cut and fabricated. The entire roof was removed by drilling out every spot weld and the new roof was put on in a reverse order. The roof is perfect and one would be hard pressed to even tell. That is as far as I have got and have run out of time and money. I have many many parts to complete this job on the inside if you wish to have the full Westfalia effect. I have the complete interior out of a 1981 Vanagon. This also includes the windows that have the screens. I also have purchased a number of items needed to complete the job. such as all the outside water gas and power inlets. These are new. I also have a complete set of new window seals. Also a complete dual round south African headlamp conversion and the upgraded headlights. I have two extra sets of tires and rims. One set is 14" and the other 15". There is many other miscillaneous items and to much to list. With a couple weeks of work you can finish this and make it whatever you want.
