Vehicle Detail

1967 CAMARO A nice surviving 85,397 mile Deepwater Blue first generation, first year early build Camaro (built in the 4th week of October) ready to be driven as is. The overall condition is surprisingly good considering it has been in Illinois its entire life. Everything works and is very fun to drive, but unfortunately not driven regularly for many years. An interesting part of this package is the 327-CU. 275hp 4-speed posi, which is hidden by the plain-Jane look, and offers sleeper performance (at least by 1967 standards). The 275hp has been verified by the engine block stamping “TICI2MK”, and the transmission by the cast iron body standard-duty Saginaw. The rear axle assembly sits upon multi-leaf leaf springs and is the 12-bolt positraction limited-slip differential with 4.11:1 gears… fun when just running around town. The pictures are an accurate representation of the condition. The floors are super… there is rust in the lower rear quarters, inside the trunk at the shock mounts and toward the wheel wells… both doors have it located in the front inside bottom corners. The positive is at least it isn’t a butchering of someone else’s “redone” pans & quarters. Review the pictures and ask for more if needed. The blue paint is shiny but definitely has that aged look such as thin spots, chips, scratches, evidence of poor masking and identifiable fogging across part of the roof. Noteworthy for some though, it isn’t one of those layer upon layer of repaints… it appears as one coat in several locations. The Chrome is descent… some minor pitting on door handles and mirror otherwise the bumpers, body accent wheelwell trim and rocker molding trim look nice. The Blue Standard interior is complimented with early 70’s velour styling, and optional rear fold-down seat as well as rear quarter glass “’67 ” etching… The standard buckets are otherwise descent with no excessive wear showing. And with the exception of power steering helping drivability (or parking) and door vent windows, not many other creature comforts were offered. Overall appearance is that of a '67 first generation Camaro... added later in life were the air dam and spoiler to probably add that more serious look. Other parts not shown in the pictures include Quadrajet carb, bias-ply spare, bumper jack, 4 blade fan, extra power steering pump and new front inner fender wheelwell rubber flap seals. Unfortunately the Window Sticker, Protect-o-plate and build sheet are missing for solid factory options verification leaving it to experience and knowledge, and likely personal opinion. Considering this is a “plain-Jane” you might find some interesting details as I did within the following website… http://www.camaro-untoldsecrets.com/articles/spotlite2.htm Enjoy the pictures and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or to request additional pictures.
