Selling this rare 1966 Chevrolet Impala station wagon with even rarer Factory Air Conditioning. It is reported to be owned by one family. Grandpa bought it new in 1966 and drove it around making deliveries back in the day. From there, it passed to grandson number one and he drove it and loved it until he passed away. Then, grandson number two received the car and has enjoyed it since. He has entrusted me to help get her a new home. It has a V8 engine and automatic transmission. The A/C compressor was frozen years ago and discarded. The lines are still present and the condensor still attatched in front of the radiator. It will be an easy retrofit for the new owner. The motor is strong and healthy. It shifts fine too. The door panels in the front doors had speakers cut into them. Repro ones are available through "Year One". You can get into this wagon and drive it today to the local cruise nights and restore her as you enjoy her. She is an original California car built in LOS, the Van Nuys plant as evidenced by the cowl tag. It is also a California Black plate car with the correct sequence. It sits on period correct Centerlines and sports dual exhaust with a throaty sound. It also has a padded dash. It has drum brakes all the way around. The miles have turned over once. The power window on the rear tailgate still works too. It is just a joy to drive and brings smiles or stories anywhere. Protecto Plate and owner's manual in glove box too.
