Even in sophisticated code 48 Dark Green paint, this one stands out with its numbers-matching powertrain, ice cold A/C, and just 65,588 original miles. The quality of the finish is very good, and it has just the right amount of metallic to give it a very authentic look. The fiberglass substrate is in great condition with few signs of age and no significant signs of previous damage. Add-on chin and tail spoilers make the Stingray look similar to its Trans Am cousin, and they work well with the car’s shape. You’ll also be pleased to learn that the lights and wipers, typically troublesome equipment on these cars, are fully functional. You could get a variety of colors inside your Dark Green Corvette, but Saddle was probably the best choice. It’s a classic combination that always looks great, and the interior of this ‘Vette is nicely preserved and certainly backs the low-mileage claims. The seats are excellent, with no splits or tears and very few signs of age, and the door panels are undamaged by wear or sunlight. You’ll be pleased with how crisp the original gauges are, and everything works including the recently serviced ice cold A/C and power windows. An updated stereo head unit is complemented by an equalizer mounted under the dash, and appears to be the sole non-stock component in the interior. The LS4 big block under the hood is this car’s original, numbers-matching piece and shows signs of meticulous maintenance sine it was new. The only non-stock components are the chrome Edelbrock valve covers, which probably date back to when this car was relatively new. The block is bright Chevy Orange, the chrome is shiny, and the original ignition shield is still in place. An automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes were popular options and make this car a pleasure to drive. The engine fires up easily and idles with a deep baritone that doesn’t hide the fact that it’s a big block under the hood. The chassis is also nicely preserved, and it’s obvious that this car has never seen winter weather, with a clean frame and beautiful floors. The suspension and brakes show signs of recent maintenance, and a new Flowmaster exhaust system explains why the engine sounds so awesome. And check out the color-matched Rally wheels wearing 225/60/15 BFGoodrich radials. Plastic-bumper C3s are definitely seeing some action these days as their prices creep up. Nice cars like this are the best kind of investment—inexpensive to buy, easy to maintain, and they’ll keep appreciating while you drive them. With low original miles, matching numbers, and a great color combination, you could hardly do better than this one.
