1978 Porsche 911 Renegade Hybrids V8 conversion. The story behind this car is a bit sad, the man building it spent several years and over $30,000 on the project. He passed away and we purchased this through the estate. Conversion cars are not what we typically deal with but I will admit that the power this car has is very impressive. The car also has the potential to be something of a sleeper as it could be set up so that it would be very difficult to tell that there was a big V8 under the hood. The conversion looks to have been done to an extremely high standard, asides from the fitting of the custom radiator in the from there has been no modifications to the body. The drivetrain in this car might have a few hundred miles since it was fitted, the 915 is rebuilt and the 350 looks like it just came out of the crate. The car still has a few odds and ends that need to be sorted before the its totally finished, all look to be very minor. Here is what I noticed.... Rear hood hinges mounted exhaust on one side needs to be remounted Porsche tach not hooked up, aftermarket tach fitted minor oil leak sorted If your in the market for a V8 911 this might be for you, the conversion package and motor alone are more expensive than the auction price for the whole car here.
