I bought this truck from a local fuel distributors estate.It was bought new in 1955 by the minster oil company,minster ohio.In the 1970's the minster oil company was bought out by a local fuel distributor and the truck sat in his building for 25 years.A few years ago they got it running,drove it a little and parked it.When the owner passed i purchased it from his estate.It's a pretty rare F350 pickup with 9ft bed,6 cylinder 109 hp engine,514 rear end,optional 4 speed transmission.I installed a new battery and rebuilt the carb and it started right up,runs well.I haven't driven it on the road,no licence or insurance.The title says 98720 original miles.I believe that to be true because they kept a log of service work from 1955 into the 70's when it was sold.The odometer part of the dash is missing.I was told the needle broke and was getting repaired but they don't know where.I see them available on ebay pretty reasonable.It is painted in the shell oil company yellow with the shell emblem on the door.It has a gvw of 9500,wheel base 130",a 514 rear end.The passenger side window is cracked,all the other glass is good.It has a temporary gas tank mounted under the hood.I was told the gas line has a hole,but it looks to me like the hose from the gas line to the fuel pump just needs replaced.It has the normal rust and dents for a truck this age.The frame,rear end and undercarriage are all good.Posted below is the log info that came with the truck.According to ford only 5450 of these express trucks were built.This is probably the only shell express truck left.
