Up for consideration is a not perfect but very solid 63 SS Impala project car. It's equipped with a 327 with 300 hp heads , 4 speed manual trans, and a 4:11 posi rear. This Impala has had the same owner since 1974, it has not been driven since 1984. It has been stored inside and started periodically. The 327 starts right up and runs well. It does not smoke or have any unusual noises. It does however need brakes due to sitting so long. The 4 speed trans goes in all gears and clutch feels fine but of course can not really test out because of no brakes. It has a 4:11 posi rear that is not original to the car, it was added sometime in the 70's. The interior is in good condition other than some minor flaws, faded carpet, small crack on padded dash next to speaker grill, material coming undone on sail panels, etc. Everything works except a few bulbs out and needs a wiper switch. When testing wipers, they worked but would not turn off. It was undercoated in the 70's and has NO rust in the floors or trunk. The drivers side rear body mount has just started to rust out as seen in the video. The worst rust on the body is the drivers side door, the rest of the body rust is very minor. There was a repair done to the drivers side quarter panel due to a parking lot accident in the late 70's. There is evidence of filler in this area as seen in the video. It is optioned with power steering, power brakes, padded dash, bumper guards, all tinted glass. The vin # is 31847B137755. Has the Z code on trim tag, real SS.
