Euro Classic 280 Twin Cam M110 High Compression SL Original narrow trim and euro bumpers Original euro lights NO Reserve.. High Bidder Wins the Auction Hard Top and Soft Top Only 146,820 original actual miles. The car drives excellent and has been maintained. All numbers match, body, chassis, motor, title to Mercedes EPC database Hardtop in Excellent condition, windows, trim, and headliner....see pics. All original glass thru-out Just replaced Bosch Fuel Distributor and hardware. Drives excellent, no vibrations, tracks straight, nice brakes, nice ride quality. Basic interior with barely anything that is going to break is the nice thing about these simple euro versions. For instance, the climate control is still basic manual control, not automatic. Seats are manual as well. Power windows, locks. Nice Michelin tires, evenly worn size 205.70.14 mounted on original Bundt Alloys VIN WDB10704212009159 Always in CA since 80's Importation Engine runs out excellent, great power out of this high compression euro M110 twin cam six. Just about close to the same power as the 380SL without all the 380SL engine and emissions headaches. Light balanced chassis with smaller engine. Transmission works well in all gears, downshifts smooth when you move the shifter. Interior Upholstery very nice and all original but not perfect, see photos. Original Dash Wood Excellent. Alpine Stereo and Infinity Speakers in the back custom installed, very nice, not a hack job. No rust anywhere, no accidents. Comes with spare in trunk, clean trunk, clean engine area. Hardtop goes on and off as it should, seals perfect, no wind noises or leaks The car however, has been in the CA sun over the past 25 years, and so the original paint is faded in spots on the hood, and beneath the rear of the hardtop. So it needs a repaint or at least to have the hood resprayed. I chose to leave it original rather than to paint it and then sell it so you can see what you are really getting and do what you wish to what level you wish. There are $500 paint jobs and $4000 paint jobs or anywhere in between. Or do it yourself and have a super nice solid no rust SL for a fraction of the normal buy-in cost. Driver's seat has tear in left upper bolster, about 4" long. Includes CA Title, Clear, but is not passing CA emissions at this time due to NOX numbers The car's issues, from having gone over it this week since being stored... This car has not had the softop up in many years. The fabric is good, window good, but needs the lateral stitches redone on each side, perhaps some stitch repair to the back, not sure, see photo. Power Antennae intermittent Front bumper middle rub rail missing...(see photos) .....we are searching for one and it will be included with the car or mailed to you. Car will not pass CA smog test at this juncture, so if you are from CA, realize that you will need to adjust the injection to try and get it to pass. If you are not from CA then you should have no problems, the Smog issue is only related to California registration. Should you purchase the car from out of state or international, we can meet your shipping company to load the car and will safely store it for you for up to 2 weeks while you arrange for the shipping after paying for the car. Should purchase the car from out of state or in Canada, and you want to drive it home, then you should get a temp tag from your local DMV or register it in advance and fly in and drive home with that.
