Vehicle Detail

1990 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in amazing condition. This is a rare one owner example as it has never been abused in anyway. The owner bought the car for his wife when they were both in their 60's! She is not able to drive any longer so, I being a family friend have offered to sell the car for them. The car has been garaged every day of it's life and never driven in the salt and snow. There is absolutely no rust of any kind. The interior is immaculate with almost no signs of usage. The engine is the TPI 5.0L V8 backed with an overdrive automatic transmission. It runs and drives perfect, no squeaks or rattles, car is dead tight. It has AC, power windows and locks, power hatch pull down and yes it still works, It has the optional GTA wheels with recent replacement eagle GT tires. The t-tops may have never been off and I don't plan on taking them off now LOL!. The only items left in the car when I was cleaning it out were an umbrella, a knit bag of popuri, and a embroided pillow featuring cats, not the typical items you find in most Trans Am's LOL! I have maintained this car for many years and I am the only mechanic to be allowed to drive the car. I did replace the intake manifold gaskets, thermostat, battery, injectors and tune-up items over the years. The body is unbelievable if not perfect. The hood was repainted about 8 years ago due to the owner backing into it with his pick up. There also was some paint work on the passenger side door many years ago, the only way I can tell this is the is paint under the door handle where it should be black, very well done. Also the right rear corner of the spoiler is splitting as was notorious for these cars. There is also a small crack in the lower left corner of the front air dam. There are no water leaks and the doors do not sag at all. The wheels are in excellent shape with no scars or pitting. The only defects I could find in the interior are the storage cubby on the drivers door is cracked at the mounts due to catching on your feet upon entry/exit, the shift knob button is missing a piece (half still there and works fine) and there is some expected seperation of the headliner material from the t-top on the pass side as well as the pass side headliner area. Also anyone who knows this vintage GM V8s will be used to the traditional puff of smoke from the valve seals on cold start up. Clean title, clean CarFax, no accidents or incidents that I know of. This is simply one of the nicest Trans Am of this vintage I have ever seen. There are not many completely stock and original examples left and even fewer in this condition. I have many more pictures if there is something you would like to see. I welcome in person inspections also.
