1968 RS/SS Convertible Up for sale is my 1968 convertible. When I bought this car it was a real head turner, and since then I have made significant upgrades to the car to make it go faster, handle better and deliver rock solid driving reliability. I really love the look of original cars, but have always hated their reliability and their poor behavior under power. I set out to create a car the looked and felt original, but had serious horsepower and the ability to harness it reliably. This car absolutely achieves that goal. The car started life as a 6 cylinder manual and was converted to a RS/SS 350 platform by the previous owner. The odometer reads just shy of 10,000 miles and I am assuming that means roughly 110,000 miles. There is less than 2,000 miles on the current engine. The car has the following original options and my additions. RS/SS 383 custom built engine at 445 horsepower Stock 350 engine is also yours if you want it. 4 speed manual transmission. 12 bolt positraction rear end A/C Deluxe Interior New Edelbrock Performer Carb New MSD Distributor New custom built and bent 2 1/2" exhaust Hotchkiss X Brace Hotchkiss Sub Frame Connectors Front disc brakes (all brakes powered) Power steering Power windows Power top---the convenience of this is often overlooked New Carpet with Dynamat on the floors New Chrome Alternator The car is a solid 9 out of 10 in my opinion and is much more than a driver. It is however not perfect, as no car this age is. Their is a slight chip by the driver's door opening, small crack in each door panel, and the left headlight door actuator needs replace. I have it and it will go with car). These are super small items and you will hard pressed to find a show car with less issues than this.
