Vehicle Detail
Ok, so here's the deal. I bought this car last summer with the intention of swapping in a m50 and doing a full build on the car... Fast forward til now. Its kinda in the same place its been since I bought it. I drove the car for a few months until it overheated on me. I figured great! now I'll swap the motor... Then I decided I should keep the m42 and turbo it. That never happened either. Run Down On The Car 1991 318is Brilliant-rot/Black 115k 5 speed manual No Rust Holes Vin Tags Present On All Body Panels No Cracks on the dash Paint Is In Good Shape, Just Needs A Good Polish And Wax And It Will Shine Right Up! Things That Need Attention The AC was removed by the previous ownerPassenger door has a large dent but its definitely repairable. i do know someone who has a matching door that i might be able to get my hands on as well.Idled rough when it was running, but ran great and pulled hard through out the rev band.Needs a new exhaust, the current one has a leakHVAC needs to be replaced. the current one has 2 broken tabs at the top so it sticks out. another easy fix that can be sourced at a yard.Clear on the hood is all gone so it would need to be re-cleared. also has a few spots on the driver door as well.Gauge cluster needs to be replaced. when i purchased the car the RPM tach didn't work but the MPH did. it didn't bother me because its common, The last time I drove the car the MPH started flickering and then stopped working.Driver side jack pad is crushed, not bad just thought I would let you know. Currently the car is not running, it will need to towed or tailored away. The car will probably need a new motor ($150- $350) because I removed the valve cover to have it sandblasted then painted. I left it that way for 6 months and the moisture caused the cams to have surface rust. With that being the car in its current state the car is a project. It by no means is perfect but a great starting point for an e30 build. I described the car to the best of my abilities and knowledge. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
