Vehicle Detail
1994 Volvo 960 101191 Miles, Clean title, never been in a wreck, Original Owner! Purchased the car brand new back in 1994 from Volvo dealer in Tallahassee Florida. This was the top of the line Volvo at the time! They even had the car parked inside the sales showroom to distinguish itself from the 'lesser volvos' that were banished to the outside sales parking lot. You will be the envy of all your family and friends driving this authentic luxury Swedish sled. Car spent the majority of its life in sunny south georgia free of snow! Autocheck average scores range from a low of 11 to a average high of 29, and this Volvo scored a 46! The Good: -car starts every time and runs great.- Recent service, timing belt, water pump, starter, fuel filter- regular oil changes and service, many receipts included with car- brakes in good condition, exhaust in good condition, power door lock & windows in good condition- cruise control works- new front tires, rear tires in fair shape- body in good shape, no major dents or dings- paint is in good shape for a 17 year old car,- interior is in fair shape, leather is worn in a few places, a few places the leather is separating but good old clear tape has held it together well. Interior could use a cleaning. Trunk carpet has a few stains from 17 years of hauling around and spilling tons of take out food.- All rims are in good shape for cars age- original spare and jack included- both heated seats work- wipers, turn signals work,- transmission shifts well,- sunroof works, although its slow to open and close The bad:- oil pan has an oil leak on the top of the pan, local mechanic tried to seal it once a few months ago, but it has not held and car still leaks oil. - the a/c works but does not hold a charge- stereo works but some of the original speakers may need replacement- power drivers seat works, but passengers seat motor does not work.- very small, approximately 1 inch crack in the front windshield. Clean title in hand. Would make a great fixer upper for the mechanically inclined or as a parts car. Starts and drives great! but will need to be towed if driving more than maybe 10 miles due to the oil leak. Would keep the car if not for the oil leak, wish I could easily fix but maybe someone will be willing to spend some time trying to seal it. Feel free to see the car in person at any time. Car is also listed locally, so auction may end due to local sale. Please email me with any questions. Thanks and good luck bidding. On Oct-22-11 at 14:31:44 PDT, seller added the following information: If you have less than 5 ebay feedback, please contact me before bidding or I will have to cancel your bid. Sorry! Don't want any spammers ruining the auction. Thanks! On Oct-22-11 at 14:34:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, I just remembered the Volvo was originally purchased brand new back in 1994 at the Volvo dealer in Jacksonville Florida, not Tallahassee florida. Please email any questions, and good luck bidding! On Oct-23-11 at 09:52:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I remembered that my mechanic took a photo a few months ago with his iPhone when he was midway patching the leak, so I dug through my emails and found the photo and added it. You can get to the leak just by reaching up around the oil pan by hand when under the car. As you can see, its on the top of the oil pan, where the dipstick meets the pan, so i think this is part of the engine block? Not sure, but I added a photo for all you mechanics out there. In the photo you can see the sealant he added, and after taking the photo he added another layer of sealant to where the dipstick meets the pan. As far as my mechanic could tell me, its leaking from the dipstick insertion spot, and nowhere else he could find. Again, car starts and drives great! This is a great fixer upper for all you mechanics out there! Please email me with any questions. Thanks and good luck bidding!
