At age 73 it's time to sell some of my toys!!!!!!! This is a very nicely older restoration of a one owner, low mileage, very original western Kansas car. When I purchased the car at a large sale of collector vehicles from an estate, I visited with an older gentleman who approached me after I had won the bid. He said he had helped the second owner of the car restore it in the early '60's and had gone with him on several Glidden tours, including up Pikes Peak in 1962. (I have the stamped paper that was given to participants who went up) The car was driven until the late 70's & then stored. He also showed me where the original owners manual was & I acquired it also. I believe the leather seats are original. The rest of the interior was restored. I replaced the exhaust completely, had the carb. rebuilt (the float was treated to resist the ethonal gas) and put Model A packing in the water pump - it did not completely seal and there is a drip. (the proper size {larger} packing would probably correct the problem) The car drives & steers very well, but the tires should be replaced if much driving is contemplated. There are two places where the paint is starting to peal - a small spot on radiator shell & the right front hood lower. I've tried to show in the pictures. The car is priced to sell with a reasonable reserve. I've sold two cars to a person in Germany and one to a man in Sweden. They both have been very happy with the cars. (There is feed back from the person in Sweden). I have the email address for the gentleman in Germany if seriously interested I will send it to you. The two cars that went to Germany were sold from pictures at Hershey) I think anyone purchasing this Buick will be happy with it.
