Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1963 Ford Country Squire 6-Passenger station wagon. This car runs & drives well and was my daily driver (1.5 hour round trip to work and back) until recently. I bought it several years ago and have made MANY repairs and improvements. It has a GM internal regulator alternator and a later model Ford dual-reservoir master cylinder. The battery is fairly new. The 289 V8 stars easily and runs great. The transmission is smooth and does not slip. The oil has been changed regularly. It has new P245/60R14 BF Goodrich T/A radials on the rear and 14" Magnum 500 rims. I've recently installed a new timing chain, new water pump, new fuel pump and a new radiator. The car is usable as-is, but will eventually need some suspension work. My plan was to drive and enjoy this car while fixing it up as time and $ allowed, but I've got too many projects right now. I have many replacement parts for this vehicle and they will all go to the winning bidder. Ideally, it would be best to pick this up with a trailer or a tow bar since it hasn't been driven regularly in several months. But, if you are local (Indianapolis, IN area) it's possible to drive this away, if not, I can drive it at least part way to your location for a fee. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A USED, UN-RESTORED 48-YEAR OLD VEHICLE AND IS BEING SOLD AS-IS. On Oct-16-11 at 09:48:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I also wanted to add the following. The rear window regulator is out of the car for repair, so the glass currently will not move up and down. I also installed a new oil pump when I replaced the timing chain.
