Up for auction is a black on black T-top 1979 Corvette. The important stuff has already been addressed on this car, so it would make a great daily driver as is or an excellent foundation to turn into a showpiece. It has been lightly driven on weekends over the last three years, so all the fluids are fresh and it runs as it should. MECHANICAL: Only 5K miles on a fully rebuilt 350ci engine, including the 4-barrel carburetor and a brand new radiator. More importantly, it has a freshly rebuilt suspension using all top of the line polyurethane components. If you know about old Corvettes - YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THAT IS, as the original rubber suspension parts are prone to deterioration after 30+ years. That's something you will never have to worry about with this car. Brakes have been recently done and are good to go. Goodyear Eagle GT II tires are in excellent shape. New Flowmaster mufflers and high flow catalytic converters sound AMAZING. Air conditioning has not been addressed yet and is not working, but did I mention it has T-tops ;) Body is sound with no damage to the fiberglass. The original automatic transmission shifts strong with no issues. The power door locks and windows work great. Has a fresh Optima battery. COSMETIC: The black paint shines up nicely and looks great on the road, but has a few issues close up. Small rock chips from driving. Most notably some small bubbles only on the tops of the front fenders. Original sound system (AM/FM Cassette) not working and needs to be replaced. The rims are the original aluminum ones, so they have tarnished a bit. Windshield has one very tiny rock chip, nearly centered with the mirror so it isn't seen from the inside. It has been professionally treated with resin to prevent spreading. Custom fit padded car cover is included. Tinted windows. The all black interior looks great with no cracks in the dash. Carpeting and door panels are original and are outstanding for their age. The bucket seats are brand new replacements - leather with vinyl trim. Listed at a reasonable reserve, far less than has been invested.
