1999 Ford F-250 Crew Cab 7.3L Diesel Powerstroke XLT HERE IS A VERY NICE 7.3 POWERSTROKE, AND ONE OF THE CLEANEST YOU WILL FIND!! ASIDE FROM A SMALL SPOT ON THE ROOF THAT COULD BE COVERED BY A QUARTER, THERE IS NO RUST ANYWHERE ON THIS TRUCK!! THE TRUCK IS 100% MECHANICALLY SOUND....SHE RUNS VERY STRONG, WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER, ENGINE OR TRANS. OR ANYTHING ELSE!! AGAIN, YOU ARE NOT BUYING A PROBLEM VEHICLE....I WOULD NOT BE IN THE LEAST BIT AFRAID OF DRIVING THIS TRUCK TO CALIFORNIA TONIGHT!! IT HAS 179000 MILES ON IT. THE TRANSMISSION WAS JUST OVERHAULED APPROXIMATELY 20000 MILES AGO, AND A NEW SHIFT KIT AND TORQUE CONVERTER WAS INSTALLED. (if the 7.3s have any causes for concern at this mileage, it is usually the trans., not the engine....and that part is taken care of for you.) FRONT END WAS CONVERTED TO 2005 MODEL GRILL AND HEADLIGHTS. INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE...THE CLOTH SEATS DO SHOW SOME WEAR, BUT THEY'RE IN GOOD CONDITION WHEN COMPARED TO MOST TRUCKS OF THIS MAKE/YEAR. THE TRUCK IS NOT QUITE IN MINT CONDITION,BUT CLOSE...IT HAS A VERY SMALL DING JUST BEHIND THE TAILLIGHT, ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. THERE ARE ALSO SOME VERY MINUTE SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE..NOT AT ALL NOTICEABLE, IT LOOKS AS IF THEY MAY HAVE JUST AFFECTED THE OUTER EDGE OF THE PAINT. A JAR OF FORD TOUCH-UP PAINT, AND THEY WOULD BE GONE. ANYONE WHO KNOWS DIESELS, KNOWS THAT THE LEGENDARY 7.3 WILL OFTEN REACH 500000 MILES OR MORE, AND IS NOTORIOUS FOR REFUSING TO DIE. I investigated, and immediately took it to the garage. Apparently, when the lift kit was installed, they failed to install 1 flat steel shim at the proper place, causing a slight shimmy. I have the shim, and it will be in the center console for you, it just needs to be put in by you or your local garage. This just popped up today, I am reporting it as quickly as possible. Front end has been aligned and steering stabilizer has just been replaced, both this week.
