PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PLACING BIDS OR ASKING QUESTIONS TO AVOID ANY CONFUSION.HEY THANX...MOTOGROTTO...THE BMW BOXER AIRHEAD RESTORATION STATION...SPECIALIZING IN PEACE OF MIND AND PURE MOTORCYCLING SATISFACTION 610-749-0747 EASTON PA 18040.Here is a nice 1955 R50 with 66,680 miles on it.It starts right up and runs very smooth.Mostly original with period sport mufflers.The electrics lights and charging system work proper with the exception of the neutral light stays on and there is no high beam switch and an aftermarket horn button.The inside of the fuel tank is cherry.The key for the toolkit compartment is missing.The bike has a new battery and the paint is in very good shape redone years ago.Aluminum rims.Correct early carbs,dipstick etc for that year.This is the 1000th R50 made in it's first year.Here is an email from BMW archives.
