Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Dodge A100 Cabover pickup. Made a short time in the 60's to compete with the Ford, VW and Chevy offerings of similar style. The truck is in overall great shape considering age. This truck is a Montana truck, and for those of you that don't know, until very recently, and still only in the cities, salt and chemicals are not used on the roads here.....too much territory to cover! So the rust although present is minimal. The usual places, and I will show the spots in the pictures. The cab is solid, no holes in the floors etc. Doors open and close, windows work, locks work, no broken glass and all guages, turn signals, etc all work. Even the foot operated windshield washer motor works. I added a fan motor from a subaru to the back of the engine doghouse to help keep her cool during the warm summer days. For those of you that know, its a problem with a dodge cabover. Yes it does have the steel plate up and under the front that is supposed to direct air into the radiator....but it only does what it does. Stop and go driving in 90 degrees heats her up fast, and the addition of the fan just simply keeps the engine cooler. I have everything to put it back to stock, but for me, I wanted to drive this honey around. She's equiped with a slant 6 that runs great. Starts easy and never misses a beat. You may find this hard to believe, but I have yet to see and real leaking from her. I haven't upgraded the electrics or in any way changed her from stock. So, it is as it came. Ready for you to do your best with. It is a 3 in the tree set up, and the clutch, gears, linkages all function properly without issue. Really guys.....every piece that the truck should have it has. Every piece it shouldn't it doesnt. Dodge emblems in place, trim rings, everything. This truck is a get in it and drive vehicle. However, the tires are crap. They have completed their life cycle, and to drive it home from Montana would not be advised without new rubber. Other than that, I would. If you aren't familiar with these collectible trucks, do a little homework before you start asking questions. Not trying to be rude folks, but I don't want to answer questions like: "I've never seen a truck like that....are you sure its a Dodge?" You know what I mean. Anyway, pictures tell a lot, but I know they don't tell all, so please feel free to ask any specific questions about her that will help you make a buying decision. I will answer them quickly, and with additional pictures if you give me your email. The reserve is low folks....I love the truck, but I have a habit of loving too many trucks, and have amassed a collection now that needs to be thinned a bit. Thanks for looking, and let me know what I need to tell you that I missed this morning. I have clear title in hand. On Oct-10-11 at 22:44:19 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck is for sale locally as well, and I do reserve the right to sell it that way and end the auction early if that becomes the case. Just want you all to know that, and make you aware that I do have locals that have looked at the vehicle and expressed interest.
