Vehicle Detail
1958 Cadillac Coupe deVille, a very well preserved original car! Fly in and drive her home! Some details about this fine 50’s Caddy… Overall: Most (not all) parts, nuts and bolts are original factory installed, she runs strong and shifts smooth - she's a great driving cruiser, all options work; including power windows, power steering, power brakes (new booster), power seat, AM radio, etc. Drive Train: It’s believed to still have its #’s matching 365 cu. in. V8 (310hp) engine, Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission, and the original rear end are still in the car (all very solid, and run great!) - NO LEAKS!!! Interior: Burgundy Coronado Leather Interior: Mostly original, everything solid and looks very good especially when photographed. Side door panels are original and very nice, carpeting is nice, leather seat covers are in great shape, everything works on the dash. The interior reminds me of the Gentlemen’s Club at the St. Regis hotel in Manhattan – get your cigar ready! Body: A good quality repaint of the factory original White was performed sometime in the 90’s and has held up extremely well - the car is always garaged and never driven in wet weather. The body and paint are very presentable; it gets many compliments from the people that see it. (Overall Quality: 7 on a scale of 1-10), the paint does have a good shine to it. It may be helped a bit with a wet-sand and buff. The Body is straight and all the doors, hood and trunk lid have an excellent fit. They open and close very nicely. The weather stripping is in good shape and the glass is very nice. Please keep in mind that this classic is 53 years old, and since it’s never been “restored” in the true sense of the word; there is wear and tear to be expected, but it's all the stuff we’ve grown to love about driving these old cars – this car is meant to be and IS a very nice driver – she's not a trailer queen. Please only purchase this special vehicle if you are looking for a factory original 58 Coupe deVille to drive as a special occasion car (car shows, cruise nights, parades, out for an ice-cream, etc.). If you are interested in doing a full restoration this car would be perfect as it’s a 100% complete car now and would be very easy to photo-document prior to disassembly – personally I’d drive this as it is. Thanks for your interest – the car is located in Eastern Massachusetts I am helping to sell this car for a friend, my name is Dave and I can be reached at (617)513-7407
