Vehicle Detail
We have had a lot of inquires on this car. A few people want to try to restore this car, but the majority want the parts. In the past week, we have decided to give the engine and transmission to one of our good customers who has a 71 Ford. Its perfect for him. That said, I apologize to the ones who wanted to restore this car. That was not a smart option. Now we have a very good parts car. We spent the last few days making the car steerable and rollable - pulled the right front fender, cut off the right front bumper and rad support, pulled the right lower A-arm and welded it to the strut rod so we can move the car. Please see the new pictures. Old listing: The good news no one was hurt - except both cars. Up for auction is a 71 LTD convertible for parts. This would be a GREAT PARTS CAR. As you can see in the many pictures, this car was in beautiful shape before taking out an Acura. For someone restoring another LTD this is a great opportunity. This is a car that we have restored and maintained for the past 14 years in our shop. It still is too good to go to the scrap yard. The interior is beautiful with the rare bucket seat / center console combination. The seats were redone in the original "comfort weave" pattern ( upon further looking the driver seat has a loose seam in the bucket that needs to be repaired ). The top and top frame is good and still works. All the power windows also work. The dash is perfect and not cracked. There are many exterior parts / trim that can be re-used. The frame is shot. WE WOULD NOT TRY REBUILDING THIS CAR. The car took a hard shot and damaged many panels. The rear taillights and bumper is very good. The hubcaps, wheel and tires are also very good. We will offer this car for only one week. If it does not sell, we will strip it and sell the parts. We also are selling this car locally and reserve the right to end the auction early Please call with any questions. Nostalgia Motors - 973-299-1959 Bob
