This is a 1955 first edition. 3500 3/4 ton. The engine starts right up and drives good. The truck has good brakes. This is the only 55 first edition 3/4 ton I have seen on Ebay. Must not be too many left. These were the work horse of the day. It has a 4 speed shift in the floor. Granny low and s speed. New exhaust system. Little stiff on the steering. All of these old trucks seem's stiff to me after driving power steering. The good thing Chevy people installed a pully with extra grooves so you can install power steering with out buying any extra pulleys. I do see some rust in the corner caps. These seem to be the weak link on these trucks. $27.50 # 44011 at Classic Parts of America. Rivet or mig weld in. New gas tank, new sender unit. New fuel pump. Gas guage still not working. It has to be the wiring from the gas guage or the guage itself. Just haven't had time to trouble shoot. Windshield has a crack on left side, looks like a BB hit the window. Corner glass beautiful. Vent windows little fog on bottom. New door latch on driver side, new striker plates on both doors. The seat has good leather seats, they sit up tall and are very comfortable. Working glove box with key. I did a compression on the engine. All cylinders are 165 lb. Very good compression. Speedo works turn sig. all lights. turn sig not working. amp oil temp work. It has a heater but no switch. I put the battery charger to it,and the fan motor works. If you love old truck this would be a good one to restore or drive it as is. If you are picky about a scratch or a small dent here and there, maybe this is not for you. This truck looks good for 56 years young. It has 12V system. Engine is a 6 cylinder 235.5 with 123 H.P. at 3800 RPM. THIS IS A NO RESERVE HIGH BID WINS.
