Vehicle Detail

This British Racing Green Bonny looks and rides a lot like the bike it was modeled after, the 1969 T120 Bonneville. Except it doesn't shake or leak oil like the vintage Bonnys did. I'm the second owner, having bought her as a demo from a Waco, Texas, dealer in 2003. The bike looks and runs like new. Some of the modifications I have made include adding a Corbin Gunfighter saddle, and also having the stock seat and grips covered in real leather. Both seats are included in the sale. As you can see, I have added several chrome pieces to the engine, including the side covers. Because the bike's original pipes sounded like a sewing machine on steriods, I found some mid-60's vintage Triumph mufflers, brand new and in the box, on Ebay and after some modification we were able to make them work. Now the bike sounds like a real Triumph, yet is not obnoxiously loud. The Triumph pipes seem to have added some kick, and the bike is very fast. Even stock, it goes 0-60 in about 5 seconds! For more on the bike's design and performance features, see http://www.chuckhawks.com/triumph_bonneville.htm. This bike definitely has the look and feel of a vintage Triumph, the kind you might have found Steve McQueen, Bob Dylan, or Marlon Brando on. You cannot stop to get gas without someone coming up and telling you about the one they used to have, and admiring its looks and sound. I have changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles and have always run Mobile 1 full synthetic. I've never had any trouble with the bike, and it has never been wrecked. It's only flaw are a couple of very tiny dings in the paint on the front fender, which I have touched up with touch up paint which made them pretty much invisible unless you know where they are. These came from its days as a demo. The tires look to have about 1/2 the tread left. Everything works as it should. Bike starts and runs perfectly, does not leak any oil or other fluid, and uses no oil between changes. I'm selling because I've gotten into dual sport bikes and have 4 other motorcycles, and she just isn't getting ridden very much. I want someone to enjoy her, not just let her sit in my garage. The bike can be seen in San Antonio, Texas, but no test drives unless you have cash in hand and a m/c license. I will assist with shipping by draining the fuel and taking it to a local shipper, or I will ride it to your door within 600 miles or so of San Antonio, Texas, if you will buy me an airplane ticket home.
