VW PASSAT WAGON 1998, 115.500 miles 1.8L TURBO NO RESERVE!! Start @ $2,500 no reserve I bought this car a couple months ago due to a change in my professional position. This car is very efficient in gas, has lot of room and is comfortable. It drives very well and the triptonic automatic transmission shifts perfect in both position (auto/manual). The Passat is a very clean CA car and has 115.500 miles!! As my job position changed again, and I can say in a worse way, I won’t need the car and have to sell it! Clear title, it’s under my name with current registration. There is a brand new catalytic converter $591.89 with labor!!! I had to replace it to pass the smog test, which now is good and recent. The dashboard ABS light was blinking, I went to a VW place to run a diagnostic test, from there the ABS unit has been rebuilt, I also had to replace an ABS wheel sensor (front left wheel) which was another couple hundred $, which resulted with the dashboard light still blinking. I went on Google to check for this issue (you can do it as well) and obviously, it seems to be a chronic disease on these cars L. To resolve this issue it could be just to run another diagnostic and reset the computer system? or just a connector? I don’t have the money anymore to keep going. I drove and drive the car like this, and it brakes like normal. The 4 tires are like new; no engine problem, the front brake pads are recent. It has power sunroof, power windows & lock, Interior is not perfect but really clean, heated seats, power mirrors, lateral airbag etc. The Kelly blue book quotes this car for $3,490.00 in good condition !!! Even in fair condition, which it’s not, this car is worth $2,940.00. As the battery was disconnected during the ABS unit repair, the stereo code went off, , it just needs to be reset ( around $45.00 @ the dealer), There is some small ding and small scratches here and there, normal for a 98 car. I’ve been told that an engine mount will have to be replaced. There is no scam, I’m an e-bay member since 2002 with a 100% positive feedback and verified ID. On the top of the buying price I spent a good amount of money on this car and I can’t keep going this way. I just need to cut down on my budget, and sell it. In other words my lost is your gain.
