Up for auction is this 66 Corvair Monza with 52,000 miles. This car was owned by James A. Traficant, Ex-Congressman from Youngstown, Ohio 1985-2002. He was expelled from congress after being convicted of taking bribes, filing false tax returns, racketeering etc. He served 7 years in prison. I had Mr. Traficant sign the passenger sun visor. I also have a copy of the title that is in his name. I also have a signed picture mentioning the corvair. The car runs well. It needs some cosmetic work. The body just needs gone over from years of wear. The interior is in very good shape. Headliner and seats are like new. Carpet is good. The radio doesn't work at present time. It turns on but there is no sound. The car is missing the antenna. The ashtray is missing but I have another one. The car is rust free. I don't think there is any putty in it. The rear bumper has some bends from people backing in to things. I recently pulled the fuel tank and had it cleaned and coated. I replaced the fuel pump also. The carburators are both new. I had the heads rebuilt and the o-rings replaced. ( of coarse it still leaks a little like all corvairs ) All the heater ducts have been replaced. Tire are 2 years old and have about 6 hundred miles on them. THIS CAR IS A DAILY DRIVER. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. All lights work and guages all work. Turn signals all work and cancel. Wipers work and washers work. Also high beams and indicator work. I have a parts 66 corvair that can go to the auction winner if you want it. It has a radio and the rear bumper. If you don't want the entire car the parts you need can be taken off and the car left. Car is located about 45 minutes south of Pittsburgh, Pa.
