Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1973 Jensen Healey. The good and the bad: This is a complete car with the much sought after and rare factory option: rust. Car ran but has not been run in awhile due to this factory option. Engine and transmission believed to still be good. Original style Lotus engine, 4cyl. 16 valve double overhead cam, 140hp capable of over 200hp with upgrades. Floor pan on passenger side is 'Fred Flinstone" configuration. Driver side floor pan is there but rusted through along the inside rocker panel. All new body panels are still available for purchase. Interior pretty much consists of two seats needing attention and no carpeting. Original factory alloy rims, tires are bad. Car will need to be towed away. Sold "as is" and "where is". Great Father/Son project, especially if you really enjoy major arguments each will remember throughout life. Bottom line: Wonderful parts car for the engine, bonnet, boot, bumpers and other parts. Restoration? there are better examples out there that would be a better starting point unless you are a restoration god and really want to show off some incredible before and after photos (much) later in life. Truly amazing example of how british cars were made right up through the seventies before the west 'discovered' the father of "Quality", Arthur Demming, two decades after the Japanese. Also, this car was designed without the use of a CAD system, so some parts/panels may give the appearance of having been thought of and created by hand rather than machined to close tolerances. There is a ton of information and knowledge available online at the the Jensen Healey Preservation Society as well as bi-monthly newsletter, parts and other fun stuff. Again, car is sold "as is" and "where is" meaning, no warranty, you remove. I am more than happy to answer questions by phone or email. If you want to speak over the phone, email me with your number and suggested time(s) to call you. Cheers! Paul I have been asked about a couple of parts not in the photos. The front bumper is in the trunk as is the transmission shifter and surround. The convertible top frame and interior panels are also in the trunk. No 'extra' parts are included.
