Vehicle Detail
For your consideration is my 1992 SSP Mustang which served as the Chief of Police's vehicle in the Stem, NC Police Department. This police department closed a little over 10 years ago. While undergoing it's original restoration, the Chief's business card was recovered underneath the rear carpet and he welcomes discussions about his vehicle. The vehicle was a non-marked vehicle and did not have a light bar on it. It did have the normal equipment for an undercover car (of which the radar gun, all wiring, wig-wags, back blue and red lights and some other pieces will come with the vehicle). The Mustang also comes with the original owners manual and warranty card. This vehicle is well documented in the SSP mustang community and has been featured in an issue of Modified Mustangs (issue will come with vehicle). The vehicle still has both buck tags attached to the radiator support and has all of it's original body panels which still have the numbers visible. I have the full history of this vehicle and including the business card of the Chief of Police who drove it. The only changes from the pictures on here are that I have a set of New Old Stock 10 holes on the car with brand new Fuzion HRIs on them (all five). The odometer currently reads 184,800. This car has no leaks and the A/C blows cold, the heater core has been replaced and works perfectly. It does not burn oil and there are no leaks. This car could easily drive across the country with no issues. I've put over $5000 into this car, including new gaskets and seals for everything. The entire suspension was replaced along with the steering shaft to get the ride back to better than factory form. The only issues that the vehicle has are that it is missing the lock actuators for the power locks and there is a small dent underneath the driver side door (in pictures). The interior has been completely restored with new carpet, headliner, seat covers and arm rest. I also replaced the quarter windows with NOS Ford windows. The paint is a good 7 out of 10 and I have managed to place in the top five in the last three Mustang shows I've attended. The vehicle comes with magnetic door stickers that say State Police which are good for shows. I purchased the vehicle a little over a year ago and have done the following: -New oil cooler lines -New oil cooler gasket -New BBK 65mm throttle body (old one was sticking) -New radiator mounts -Replaced rear main seal -New rack and pinion -New Maximum motorsports steering shaft -Transmission dropped and serviced -Rear diff opened and serviced -All fluid flushed and changed -New overflow sensor and bottle -New clutch fan -New correct battery -New battery terminals -New Ford Racing shocks and struts -New Saleen thrusters (from the saleen development program from the 80s) -New parking brake lines in place and working -Installed new exhaust hangars as they were missing -New interior handle bezels -New Ford correct headlights -New electric mirror switch -New bushings -New starter I just had the car inspected today and it is good until 8/12 in Virginia. I'm pricing this SSP to sell. Please note that the 10 holes are on the car, not the Cobra Rs.The Mustang comes with a ton of spare parts that I haven't put on Here are some pics including the original restoration: http://gallery.me.com/mtippett Please feel free to ask questions and we can talk about the car. Thanks for looking! Mark
