Vehicle Detail

Due to recent bills need cash quick. I will not go any lower I will take $600 I require a deposit of $300 with in 48hours unless otherwise agreed. Pictures are of bike when cylinder was being bored and that is why the cylinder is off . Bike does run as it is but read below for more information I have for sale a 1983 CR480. One of Honda's greatest bikes made. This thing has wicked power and should be taken seriously. Has the cylinder bored, new weisco piston, rings, wrist pin, roller bearing, moose racing top end gasket kit, new airfilter, new spark plug, new gaskets and seals for exhaust, new clutch lever, new reed valve, and new oil (obviously!). Carb has also been cleaned up, front tire is in great shape, rear should be replaced sooner or later, front brakes work great, rear will need to have shoes replaced. I have upgraded the foot pegs to larger ones as well. The plastics are all there although there is a crack near the rear of the seat in the rear fender, seat is torn on the rear edge as well. The rest of the plastic are in good shape as well as the tank. frame does have chipped paint of course but it is not mangled or dented. Exhaust is in great shape as well, no dents in it. I have also added a second head gasket to help compression and the way it runs. Now the bike does run as it is but I believe one or both of the crank seals has failed. Easy to fix/replace and I have both parts as well. I have started the process of replacing and it only takes about 1-2 hours but I was in a motorcycle accident and I have not been able to finish it. I will explain and give direction on how to do it for yourself when buyer picks up bike. I will also ship bike too. If bike is not bought soon I will try to finish seals and price will got up to $800 which is still an excellent deal considering all that is new on this bike. I have not broken it in yet but I have driven it around the yard and it does shift through all gears smoothly. There are plenty of ways people break in there bikes. here are my procedures. However you may break the bike in the way you want. I start it up from cold let it warm up then ride it with no more than 1/2 throttle. I ride for about ten minutes then let it cool down to cold- not warm. I start again and let it warm up then ride with no more than 3/4 throttle. No red lining in either of these first steps. I ride for about ten then let it cool. Start it up again, let it warm up, and ride it hard to seat the rings. I then change the oil. I change the oil now because when the parts are being seated and broken in there may be metal bits from them. Any questions feel free to ask. Most parts bikes go for 600-800. The rebuilt top end alone costs 300 alone. One other thing the vin at the end is a 237 or 287 hard to tell. I believe I have the title somewhere and will try to find it. 616-990-3860
