After listing this car i realized the buy it now and the reserve was too high acording to what was selling out there so I droped both the buy it now and the reserve. The black you see in the trunk is hyd oil unknow to me when Scholtz interiors blead the conv top pumps oil had gotten under the 3/4 inch rubber matt I laid in the bottom so my tool box and other stuff didn't scratch the paint. I dont hide stuff so I took the picture anyway. Really nice driver quality car. Factory AC. Rock solid frame. SS hood. Not a trailer queen nor a hot rod. 327 powerglide. I bought this car in May 2007 form a fellow that bought it a couple of years after it was restored. The only thing he could tell me is that it was from Indiana and that The motor and trans had been rebuilt he had no documentation. At that time it had been sitting in his garage for 6 years. 2007 I put the following into this car, New top Scholtz in flint. They didn't put a new weather strip that bolts into the top between the top and windshield. (easy fix) The weather strips between the windshield and the drivers and pass windows is cracking. New Chrome valve covers New MSD distribtor, platium plugs and wires Elderbrock 500 cfm carb,I found some used Corvette Rally wheels had them repainted added new beauty rings and cobra tires center caps are ok but could use some attention (no dings in them) The day I bought this car my friend and I went over it with a magnet. The only thing we could find was a couple of small spots in the rocker panel buy the front of drivers door and a small spot just above that on the door. Where there is now a couple of small paint bubbles.The doors need to be adjusted or maybee even new hinge pins. The hood has a reverse type ding on it. Looks like someone closed the hood with too long of a carb stud and has a crack in the paint near the front see pictures. The trunk has the same type of ding in the center of it. (niether of these are real bad) Bumpers are original they are shoud be replaced to be show quallity the grill has a few small bends you have to look real hard to find them. Paint looks real nice. Interior had been replaced when I bought it, looks sharp no rips tears or wear marks. The only reason I"m selling this car is out of the last 5 car seasons 07 3000 miles 08 2000 miles 09 2000 miles 10 had it out once 11 had it out twice. Its time to let her go and let someone else enjoy her. From siting so long those steel belted Cobras. car runs like a top. You woudn't beleive the thumbs up and admeration this car gets. I know my discription sounds detailed if you want a show car the above would need to be done. If you want a really nice driver do nothing but drive her and enjoy. You can see that the floor pans and frame are in very good condition.I trieded to think of everything I could when I listed this car. I forgot that the gas gage woorks but when it gets to 1/2 tank you need gas also the drivers side pass window is stiff rolling up and down and the heater blower only works on low. All lights turn signals and gages work as they should.
